CONCRETE REINVENTED
Buoycrete is a ‘neutrally buoyant’, non-dissolvable concrete mix. Buoycrete enables underwater concrete (repair) operations without the use of expensive hard formworks. This new work-method creates a wide array of possible applications for different markets: quay wall maintenance and renovation, form freedom for architects, large civil constructions, and more.
InflatablesHigh slurry pressures arise when pouring regular concrete in a hard formwork. With Buoycrete this is not an issue under water. Inflatable, flexible formworks can be filled with Buoycrete and the predefined shape becomes instantly apparent.

MaintenanceDue to its neutral buoyancy the slurry does not sink or float and settles by its internal cohesion. This allows for underwater maintenance without the use of heavy formworks or adding extra weight to existing structures.

PrintingBuoycrete allows for zero-gravity printing. Aside from 3D-printing, there is no prescribed printing direction. This creates the possibility to print horizontal surfaces which current 3D-printing does not allow for.
